Double Sided Repulpable Tape

Double sided repulpable tape has a non-woven tissue carrier, coated on both sides with a modifified water soluble acrylic adhesive. It is used in the paper and printing industry for permanently splicing (overlapping) rolls of paper, tissue paper, newsprint, or other lightweight, uncoated papers on reels or winders. This ensures a smooth and uninterrupted paper flow during printing or converting processes.

Double sided repulpable tape uses firm and water-soluble adhesive. It will not slip at high web tensions. This avoids potentially leaving exposed adhesive, and resulting in the adhesive “blocking” to the adjacent paper and ultimately causing web breaks as the paper is unwound.

Tape Features

Color: Blue, Clear, Pink.
Very high tack properties.
Good adhesion values on wide variety of paper grades.
Withstands high oven temperatures typically associated with web printing, which helps reduce down time due to splice failure.
Double sided repulpable tape pass TAPPI method UM-213. There is no need to separate splice from waste, helping to save labor.
